Confidence is so important to your personal and professional success and wellbeing. So what can you do to feel confident? In this video, I’ll talk about how you can feel confident now and into the future, with:
– building long-term confidence
– creating a short-term confidence boost

Four things will build long-term confidence:
1. Inventorying your resource base
2. Setting goals and noticing your successes
3. Your physical life
4. Stop thinking about what other people think

For a rapid confidence boost, use the triangle of confidence:
– Visualization
– Self-talk
– Physiology

RECOMMENDED EXERCISE

Continue your Personal Confidence Log from the last video:
1. What do you want in your life, soon (3 months), mid-term (1 year) and long-term (5+ years)? Set yourself goals (4 MC CPD Points)
2. Make changes to your exercise and recreational routines. Plan them out in your log. (2 MC CPD Points)
3. …and then start them. Keep them up to gain 2 MC CPD Points for each of the first four weeks you follow your plan.
4. Make a list of choices you make that have been dictated by what others think of you. These include choices about how to feel bad. (2 MC CPD Points)
5. Write down alternative choices that you would make if the only thing that mattered was feeling proud of the choices you make and the things you do. (2 MC CPD Points)
6. Next time you find yourself in a situation where you need a confidence boost, use the Triangle of Confidence. (4 MC CPD Points)
