Reuven Bar-On’s EQ-i™ is a 15-factor model of emotional intelligence. The 15 factors make the model less useful to managers than to serious psychologists and emotional intelligence practitioners.
However, his psychometric is the most widely used and understanding what those factors are will help us to get a sense of the breadth of what we call Emotional Intelligence.
The 15 components are grouped into five main areas.
INTRAPERSONAL FACTORS

. Social responsibility
. Interpersonal relationships
STRESS MANAGEMENT FACTORS
Emotional management and control

. Impulse control
ADAPTABILITY FACTORS
