LESSON NOTES
What is the story you want to tell?
Offer a distinctive point of view, with a clear narrative.
How can you give your presentation in a Compelling way?
Compelling: Keep them interested and listening
Use a logical structure to keep them ‘on the edge of their seats’, and clear explanations so they ‘get it right away’.
We do this with a clear structure
How can you make your presentation Persuasive?
What’s the point if you don’t change the way people think about some element of your topic?
We do this with the elements of influence, to create a persuasive argument made from:
– Ethos (character)
– Logos (reason)
– Pathos (emotion)
What can you do to give your presentation Power?
This means that your presentation needs to have an effect on your audience
