In time management, one of the biggest problems some people face is procrastination: putting things off. And some approaches to handling this are all about making the thing as easy as possible to do – and so reduce the friction to action.
The same principles will help you when you want to influence someone to do something.

Don’t ask them to do a big thing.
Instead, use the principles of:
– baby steps
– Consistency
– Momentum

Give Them a Plan
The second principle is to show you how you have thought it through. Show them a plan. And follow these principles:
– precise timing
– convenient timing

= = RECOMMENDED EXERCISE = =
1. Next time you need someone to do something for you, make it easy to say ‘yes’. Try a couple of these techniques. Then the time after, add another one or two. Find out which ones work best for different people. (3 MC CPD Points)
