When you recognize the signs of stress in your team…

What you need to do to counter team stress:

1. Understand the causes – likely to link to loss of control

2. Address root causes by restoring control or by focusing the team on what it can control

3. Deal with individual stress with compassion

4. Long term, build team resilience

RECOMMENDED EXERCISE
1. Assess your team, as it is today, for signs of stress. What evidence do you see? What is your level of concern? (2 MC CPD Points)
2. If you identify signs of stress, what are the likely causes? (2 MC CPD Points)
3. What can you do, to address the root causes of the team stress you identified? (2 MC CPD Points)
4. Who in your team needs your support? Determine how you are going to support them and schedule the first steps into your agenda. (2 MC CPD Points)
5. What can you do to build long-term team resilience within your team? Make a plan that you can execute over the coming weeks. (4 MC CPD Points)
