So, facilitating team working means making it easy for your team to:
1. Work
See the last two videos on providing them with what they need and defending them from the things that get in the way
2. Understand their work
Placing it on context and navigating the politics of the organization
3. Connect with colleagues
By making introductions with other team members and people outside their existing networks
4. Come up with ideas
Process for discussion and ensuring everyone gets listened to
5. Work through and evaluate ideas
Keep the team focused on rigor and ensure they see things from every angle
6. Have confidence in their ideas
You need to recognize, encourage, and promote
7. Make decisions
Evaluating, discussing, selecting, and committing
8. Access Support
By being there to help, guide, advise, or simply listen to them
9. Evaluate and improve their own performance
Observing them and providing helpful feedback and coaching
10. Be heard
Be someone to give them a damn good listening to when they want to test their ideas or simply vent their anger, frustration, miseries, or fears
